Santa Fe River

River Rise - US 27

Map It!! - Santa Fe Rv - US 27
N 29 50' 38", W 82 37' 53" (1 1/4 hours)

           

    • Take I-75 north past Gainesville to exit 399 (US 441/Alachua) 48 miles.
    • Follow US 441 North (right hand turn from the interstate off-ramp) into High Springs (4.8 miles).
    • As you come into High Springs look for the signs directing you to US 27/Ft White. There will be a left hand turn lane where you make the turn at the beginning of a curve, turn Left.
    • Stay on US 27 (3.0 miles) to the bridge and boat ramp is on your right immediatly after the bridge.

Rum Island

    • Take I-75 north past Gainesville to exit 399 (US 441/Alachua) 48 miles.
    • Follow US 441 North (right hand turn from the interstate off-ramp) into High Springs (4.8 miles).
    • As you come into High Springs look for the signs directing you to US 27/Ft White. There will be a left hand turn lane where you make the turn at the beginning of a curve, turn Left.
    • Stay on US 27 4.4 miles, at caution light turn left (west) on to CR 138
    • Stay on CR 138 for 2 miles
    • Turn left (south) onto Rum Island Rd.
    • Stay on Rum Island Rd to end (1.6 m)

Santa Fe River Park - SR 47

  • From the River Rise - US 27 boat ramp (see directions above),
  • Turn right (north) on US 27, travel about 9/10 mile.
  • Turn left (west) onto CR 138 (caution light). Go till it dead ends (6 1/2 miles) onto SR 47.
  • Turn left (south) onto SR 47 travel about 4/10 mile and Santa Fe River County Park Ramp will be on the left (south side of river)

 

Concrete ramp - No facilities, although there is a pavillion to get out of the rain.
