Often the Club has moonlight paddles on this river usually from KP Hole north to the springs. Generally we start just before dusk and paddle upstream while there is still some daylight, and then we pull our boats close and talk, while waiting for the moon to rise high enough to paddle back to KP Hole.
If you come to one of these be sure and have besides the normal items you would bring, some bug repellant, and a light for you or your boat (glow stick, flashlight, headlamp, boat light, etc.) Tidbit of useful info: yellow lights attract less bugs than white lights.
