Today was the first day of Autumn and it was the perfect day for the club picnic. We gathered at Rio Vista Park on the Rainbow River. A big thank you to Maryanne who once again reserved the park just for us. We first started with a paddle up toward the state park and the head springs and back again to Rio Vista. Thank you JJ and Fred for going out early this morning to shop for our meats and other supplies. Our web site said that Wayne and Fred were to be the cooks. Well Fred never cooked on a grill before so that didn't work out. Thank you Wayne for all the food you cooked for us. Thank you Fred for setting up the tables and tents and for helping unload our boats and reload them and for all the other work you did. Everyone brought lots of food to share. Thank you Phyllis for bringing a boat for me to use. Thank you for all the work everyone did to make sure the park was left as clean as it was when we arrived. I really want to say thank you to everyone who came out and made this day so special...Sandie
