Withlacooche River Trip Saturday July 7th, 2012
The day was already hot as we gathered at the Spruce Creek boat ramp. We began loading boats, gear and people into two trucks. Wayne made a rack for his new truck that can hold several boats. The reverse shuttle began. We launched and off we went down the river. We didn't see much wildlife today maybe because of the heat. We did see wildflowers and beautiful blue skies. The river water was bathtub warm. This was another great Saturday to be outside. We thought it would have been nice to feel a little breeze. We took a break at the springs where some swam and some jumped off the rope swing. The springs were clear and cool. We continued on our way and landed at the boat ramp just pass Stumpknockers. Stumpkknockers was the place of choice for our late lunch today.
