Wow what a catchy name to be for our Blog.
"Herb", "Norm" says thanks so much for setting this service up for us!
After going on a recent paddle: Have you ever wanted to share some of your pictures;
or tell folks of a hazard; a new eagle nest; about a paddle the club hasn't been on; ... ...
Or advising folks you have a paddle planned but didn't know how to get the word out
that others were welcome to join you?
Well now there is a way - through our Blog http://aquaholicsunanimous.blogspot.com/
Anyone can read items - "posts" to this site. And anyone may leave a comment to
a post. But to upload your own post you have to be a member of Aquaholics - wow
another perk for your membership dues.
Members will receive an email invitation from a Blog administrator from the club. Within
the email is the website to go to for confirming the invitation. You'll have to set up a
"profile" of yourself and once that is done you can get started right away. This will take
1-5 minutes depending on how long it takes to select an optional picture of yourself.
A mass mailing went out Sept 17, 2009 to then current members by our club president.
One of the caveats to do be able to "create" a post is that you must have an email account through
Google - a GMAIL account, and it's free. If you don't have a GMAIL account go to
Google Mail and you can start one up.
Now you are probably sighing "another email account - i have to check two now".
One of the options in a GMAIL account is that you can have all messages sent there to be
duplicated to your normal email account, that way you don't have to check two email sites
all the time. But if you reply from your normal account it shows that email and your google
account will not know about it.
